PSAL. XXXIV.

AT all times I will ſurely bleſſe

the LORD ſo good to me,

His worthy praiſe within my mouth

continually ſhall be.

verse 2 My ſoul ſhall alwayes in the LORD

her boaſt make ſurely heere,

The humble ſhall in heart be glade

when they thereof ſhall hear.

verse 3 O magnifie alwayes with me

the LORD of glorious fame,

And let us altogether now

exalt his holy name.

verse 4 I ſought the Lord with all my he…

and he my ſute did hear,

And he anone deliv'red me

from all that I did fear.

verse 5 They looked unto him with ſpe…

and lightned were by grace,

In all their troubles great was not

aſhamed once their face.

verse 6 This poor man to the Lord did …

who heard when he did call,

And by his mighty arme him ſav'd

out of his troubles all.

verse 7 The Angel of the mighty LORD

encampeth round about

Them that him fear, and he them…

delivreth in or out.

verse 8 O taſte and ſee now that the Lord

is good in every part,

Moſt bleſſed is the man that doth

truſt in him with his heart.

verse 9 O fear the Lord all ye who are

his ſaints that ſerve him heer,

For ſure there is no want to them

that truely him do fear.

verse 10 The Lions young do often lack,

and hungry want their food,

But they that humblie ſeek the Lord

ſhall want nothing that's good.

verse 11 Come hither children unto me,

and to my words give ear,

I will you teach, that ye may know

how ye the Lord ſhould fear.

verse 12 What man is he that doth deſire

his life heer long to be?

And alſo loveth many dayes,

that ſo he good may ſee?

verse 13 From ill thy tongue keep; with thy lips

from ſpeaking guile eſhew;

verse 14 Depart from evill, and doe goo…

ſeeke peace and it purſue.

verse 15 The eyes of God are fix'd upon

the righteouſ by and by,

His eares alſo in troubles great

are open to their cry.

verse 16 The face als of the LORD is ay

againſt them that do ill;

For their remembrance from the ear…

all to cut off and ſpill.

verse 17 The righteous cry, and als the Lo…

doth hear them when they call,

And by his might deliv'reth them

out of their troubles all.

verse 18 The Lord is ſurelie neer to them

that are of broken heart,

And ſaveth ſuch as be in ſprit

contrite in any part.

verse 19 Th'afflictions of the righteous …

they ſurelie many be,

But him out of them all the Lord

deliv'reth as we ſee.

verse 20 He moſt ſafely ev'n all his bones

keeps, whether great or ſmall,

That not ſo much as one of them

can broken be at all.

verse 21 The wicked and malicious men

evill ſhall moſt ſurelie ſtay,

And they that hate the righteous ſhall

be deſolate for ay.

verse 22 Of his ſervants the Lord the ſoul

redeemeth graciouſlie,

And none of them that truſt in him

as deſolate ſhall be.

PSAL. XXXV.

PLead yu my cauſe, O Lord, with them

that ſtrive with me upright,

Fight on my ſide againſt them all

that ſtill againſt me fight.

verse 2 In my defence take hold of ſhield,

and buckler in thy hand,

And by thy mercies manifold,

up for my help now ſtand.

verse 3 Draw out the ſpear and ſtop the way

'gainſt them that me to ſhame

Thus perſecute; ſay to my ſoul

I thy ſalvation am.

verse 4 Let them confounded be that ſee

my ſoul, to ſhame them put;

Let them turn back confuſed all

that do deviſe my hurt.

verse 5 Let them as chaffe before the wi…

be driv'n from place to place,

And let the Angel of the LORD

them in his anger chaſe.

verse 6 Let ſtill their way be ſlippry heer,

and dark, that they may fall,

And let the Angel of the Lord

ev'n perſecute them all.

verse 7 For without cauſe they have for

hid in a pit their net,

Which without cauſe ev'n for myſ…

they digged have and ſet.

verse 8 Let unawars deſtruction him

take, let his net withall

Which he hid, catch himſelf; in the

deſtruction let him fall.

verse 9 And thus my ſoul ſhall in the Lord

be joyfull ev'ry way:

In his moſt ſure ſalvation ſtill

it ſhall rejoice alway.

verse 10 Yea all my bones in this my joy

at laſt ſhall ſay in me,

Lord thou who guids all things below,

who is like unto thee?

Who doſt the poor deliver ſtill

from him that is too ſtrong,

Yea both the poor and needle als

from ſpoilers that him wrong.

verse 11 Falſe witneſſes, Lord, did riſe up

with calumnies untrue,

They in their rage laid to my charge

the things I never knew.

verse 12 They in their malice ill for good

me alwayes did reward,

Ev'n to the very ſpoiling of

my ſoul without regard.

verse 13 But as for me when they were ſick,

I cloath'd with ſackcloth mourn'd;

My ſoul with faſting humbled I,

to me my prayer return'd.

verse 14 I did behave myſelf as he

had been my friend or brother

I heavilie bow'd down as one

that mourneth for his mother

verse 15 But they rejoic'd & gath'red …

in mine adverſitie,

Abjects gath'red, which I not kne…

ceaſde not from tearing me.

verse 16 With mockers hypocriticall

in feaſts which them did fill,

In rage and fury with their teeth

they gnaſhed on me ſtill.

verse 17 How long, Lord, wilt thou thus

my ſoul my darling dear?

From their deſtructions now reſcu…

and from the Lions heer.

verse 18 In the great congregation I

will thank thee heartilie,

Among much people from mine …

I will give praiſe to thee.

verse 19 Let not my foes ov'r me rejoice

that wrongfully are ſet,

Nor who me hate without a cauſe

wink with the eye then let,

verse 20 For they of peace do never ſpeak

but ſtill they take in hand

Deceitfull matters 'gainſt them that

are quiet in the land.

verse 21 Yea 'gainſt me in my greateſt grief

their mouths they op'ned wide,

Our eye now hath it clearly ſeen,

Aha, Aha, they cri'd.

verse 22 This clearly haſt thou ſeen, O Lord,

therefore not ſilent be,

O LORD, in this my great diſtreſſe

now be not far from me.

verse 23 Stir up thy ſelf, and now awake,

me judgement to afford,

Ev'n plead my cauſe againſt my foes,

my GOD and als my LORD.

verse 24 According to thy righteouſneſſe,

my LORD GOD judge thou me,

And let them not in my diſtreſſe

ov'r me rejoiced be.

verse 25 Let them not ſay within their he…

Ah, ſo we would it have;

Nor yet ſay we have ſwallowed u…

him ev'n as we do crave.

verse 26 Sham'd and confounded be the

that joy my hurt to ſee,

Let ſhame and als diſgrace them …

who ſtill inſult ov'r me.

verse 27 Let them all ſhout moſt joyfull

and glade be every day,

That with good will do favour ſtill

my righteous cauſe alway.

Continuallie yea let them ſay,

the Lord we magnifie,

Which alwayes pleaſure hath in his

ſervants proſperitie.

verse 28 And of thy righteouſneſſe, I ſh…

ſpeak alwayes with my tongue

And of thy praiſe I mention make

will ev'n all the day long.

PSALME XXXVI.

THe wicked mans tranſgreſſiō great

within my heart doth ſay,

That there is no true fear of God

before his eyes alway.

verse 2 For in his own eyes he himſelf

doth flatter fooliſhlie,

Till his iniquitie moſt vile

be hatefull found to be.

The words of his mouth are deceit

and great iniquitie,

He hath left off for to do good,

and alſo wife to be.

He great miſchief upon his bed

deviſeth ever ſtill,

…n wayes not good he ſets himſelf,

he not abhorreth ill.

Thy mercy Lord is ſurely in

the heav'ns above our ſearch,

…nd like wiſe als thy faithfulneſſe

unto the clouds doth reach.

Thy righteouſneſſe moſt ſurely is

like mountains great and ſteep.

A great deep als thy judgements a…

thou man and beaſt doſt keep.

verse 7 How excellent thy kindneſſe is,

O GOD, which comfort brings

Therefore all men their truſt put in

the ſhaddow of thy wings.

verse 8 They with the fatneſſe of thy he…

well ſatisfied ſhall be:

Thou ſhalt make them of rivers d…

of pleaſures come from thee.

verse 9 For ſure of life the fountain is

ev'n ever ſtill with thee,

In the light which is thine alway…

we clearly light ſhall ſee.

verse 10 Thy loving kindneſſe unto the…

that know thee ſtill impart,

And als thy righteouſneſſe to thoſe

that upright are in heart.

verse 11 Let not the foot of pride now …

me with diſgrace to move,

Let not the hand of wicked men

me from my place remove.

verse 12 The workers of iniquitie

there fallen are unwiſe:

They are caſt down, and ſhal no more

be able for to riſe.
