FOrever I'll Gods mercies ſing,

For mercy, I have ſaid, ſhall be

A cov'nant with my choſen I

To David my ſervant in truth

ſolemnly ſworn I have.

verse 4 Thy ſeed I ſtabliſh will moſt ſure

for ever not to fall,

And alſo will build up thy Throne

to generations all.

verse 5 The heav'ns, O Lord, ſhal ſurely p…

In congregation of the Saints

likewiſe thy faithfulneſſe.

verse 6 For who in heav'n can be compar'd

unto the Lord moſt ſtrong;

Who can be likned to the Lord,

the mighties ſonnes among?

verse 7 GOD in th'aſſemblie of the Saints,

ſhould ſerved be with feare

And reverenc'd ſtill ſhould be of all

that are about him heere.

verse 8 Lord God of hoſts who is a Lord

ſtrong all the world throughout

Like to thee or thy faithfulneſſe,

that is thee round about.

verse 9 Thou by thy mighty power doſt …

the rageing of the ſea,

…hen the fierce waves thereof ariſe,

thou mak'ſt them ſtill to be.

Thou haſt in peices Rahab broke

as one alreadie ſlaine,

all ſcattred in diſdaine.

The heav'ns are thine, thine is the earth

as for the world we ſee,

have founded been by thee.

By thy great might the north & ſouth

thou haſt created them;

…ount Tabor and Hermon alſo,

rejoice ſhall in thy Name.

verse 13 A mighty arme in all thy works

thou haſt, as all may ſee,

…rong is thy hand as may appear,

and thy right hand is hie.

verse 14 Juſtice & Judgement of thy throne

are made the dwelling place,

Mercy and truth together join'd

ſhall go before thy face.

verse 15 Bleſt is the people that doth kn…

They of thy countenance, O Lord

ſhall ſure walk in the light.

verse 19 They ſhal in thy moſt bleſſed N…

And in thy righteouſneſſe they ſh…

exalted be alway.

verse 17 For thou the glorie of their ſtre…

art, as they well do ſee;

And in thy favour great our horne

ſhall high exalted be.

verse 18 For our moſt ſtrong & ſure d…

the Lord is in each thing;

The holy one of Iſrael

is our moſt gracious King.

verse 19 By way of viſion that is clear

then ſpakeſt thou anone

Theſe words that full of mercy …

unto thy holy One;

Thou ſaidſt, On one that mighty is

I help laid by and by,

One from the people choſen out

exalted high have I.

verse 20 My ſervant David ſurely I

have found as I did crave,

… mercy with my holy oil

anointed him I have.

With whom my hand & ſaving grace

eſtabliſhed ſhall be,

…e arme alſo in every place

ſhall ſtrengthen him ſurelie.

The enmie ſtrong puft up with pride

ſhall not on him exact,

…r him the ſon of wickedneſſe

afflict by any fact.

And I his foes before his face

moſt fiercely down will beat,

…d plague them all moſt fearfully,

that in their heart him hate.

But with him ſhall my faithfulnes,

and als my mercy be,

…y great Name his mighty horne

ſhall be exalted hie.

verse 25 I will the power great of his ha…

And his right hand that doth gre… thi…

verse 26 Thou art my father, he ſhall th…

unto me cry anone:

My GOD and als the mighty rock,

of my ſalvation.

verse 27 I alſo will him my firſt-born

make by a noble birth,

Yea higher in great glory then

the Kings of all the earth.

verse 28 My mercy will I keep for him

for evermore to laſt,

My Cov'nant als alwayes ſhall ſtan…

with him for ever faſt.

verse 29 His holy ſeed als I will make

for ever to endure,

And as the days of heav'n, ſo ſhall

his Throne be ſtabliſh'd ſure.

verse 30 If his children my law forſak…

and walk not in my wayes:

verse 31 If they my ſtatutes break, and not

my precepts keep alwayes.

Their great tranſgreſſion with the rod

I will then viſit ſtill,

…d their iniquity alſo

with ſtripes correct I will.

My loving kindneſſe yet will I

not from him wholly take,

…r ſuffer once my faithfulneſſe

to fail or him forſake.

My Cov'nant faſt I ſurely will

not break to any one.

…r yet the leaſt thing alter that

out of my lips is gone.

Once have I by mine holineſſe

even ſworne moſt ſolemnlie,

…t unto David more or leſſe

I will not ſurely lie.

His bleſſed ſeed ſhal by my ſtrength

endure for evermore,

…nd as the Sun ſo ſhall his Throne

be ſtable me before.

verse 37 It ſhall for ever as the Moone

moſt ſure eſtabliſh'd be,

And as a faithfull witneſſe that

is in the heav'n moſt hie.

verse 38 But thou diſpleaſed, haſt caſt o…

yea and abhorred both,

Thou haſt with thine Anointed dear

exceedingly been wroth.

verse 39 Thou of thy ſervant haſt made v…

the Cov'nant all moſt ſound,

Thou haſt his Crown profained by

it caſting to the ground.

verse 40 Thou in thy wrath his hedges do

haſt broken great and ſmall,

Thou alſo his ſtrong holds likewiſe

haſt brought to ruine all.

verse 41 All that paſſe by the open way

to ſpoile him neere approch,

Unto his neighbours all about

he ſtill is a reproch.

verse 42 Thou haſt of his adverſaries

the right hand ſet up hie,

Thou haſt als made his enmies all

rejoiced for to be.

verse 43 The edge thou alſo of his ſword

haſt turned in his hand,

And in the battell haſt not made

with courage him to ſtand.

verse 44 Thou haſt his glory made alſo

to ceaſe at all to be,

…nd to the ground likewiſe his Thron

is now caſt down by thee.

verse 45 Thou als haſt ſhortned of his youth

the dayes; him to defame,

…hou in thine anger covred haſt

him with diſgrace and ſhame.

verse 46 O LORD, how long wilt thou thy ſelf

for ever hide in ire?

…hall thy moſt fearfull wrath ſtill burn

like a conſuming fire?

verse 47 Remember how my time is ſhort

that I on earth remain;

Yea, wherefore is it ſo that thou

haſt made all men in vain?

verse 48 What man is he that liveth he ere

and death ſhall never ſee;

Shall he from graves deſtroying hand

his ſoul deliver free?

verse 49 Where are thy former kindneſſes

moſt loving now, O LORD,

Which unto David in thy truth

thou ſwareſt in thy word?

verse 50 The great reproch remember Lord

of thy ſervants moſt dear,

How I the mighty peoples blame

do in my boſome bear.

verse 51 Wherewith thy foes reproched have

wherewith, O LORD, anone

They have his ſteps reproched that

was thine annointed One.

verse 52 The Lord who doth his own defend

be bleſſed among men,

And that both now and evermore

Amen, yea and Amen.

PSALME XC.

O LORD that art moſt mercifull,

thou by thy ſaving grace

Ev'n in all generations ſtill

haſt been our dwelling place.

verse 2 Before the mountaines were broght forth

ere thou the world didſt frame,

From everlaſting thou art GOD

and ſtill ſhalt be the ſame.

verse 3 Thou to deſtruction mortall man

moſt eaſily doſt turn,

And thus thou ſay'ſt, ye frail and weak,

all ſons of men return.

verse 4 For even a thouſand yeers do laſt

in thy preſence and ſight,

As yeſterday when it is paſt,

and as a watch by night.

verse 5 Thou carieſt them as with a flood,

as ſleep they ſeeme to be,

Like graſſe they in the morning are,

which growing up we ſee.

verse 6 At morning it doth flouriſh fair,

and groweth up alway;

It in the ev'ning is cut down,

and withreth all away.

verse 7 For we are by thine anger fierce

conſumed great and ſmall,

And alſo by thy dreadfull wrath

ſore troubled are we all

verse 8 In wrath now our iniquities

before thee thou haſt ſet:

In the light of thy countenance

our ſins that are ſecret.

verse 9 For all our dayes are paſt away

in thy wrath manifold,

We ſpend our yeers that are moſt vain

even as a tale that's told.

verse 10 The days of all our yeers threeſcore

and ten yeers are, we ſee,

And if by reaſon of great ſtrength

ev'n fourſcore yeers they be:

Yet is their ſtrength both labour hard

and ſorrow great alway,

For it by death is ſoon cut off,

and we do flee away.

verse 11 Who knoweth the great power of

thine anger moſt ſevere?

Even ſo is thy conſuming wrath

according to thy fear.

verse 12 Our painful dayes to number well

ſo teach us by and by,

That unto wiſdome we our hearts

may timouſly apply.

verse 13 Return, O Lord, how long wilt thou

to anger be ſo bent?

Concerning us thy ſervants poor

now let it thee repent.

verse 14 O ſatisfie us early with

thy mercies ſweet alwaies,

That we all greatlie may rejoice,

and glad be all our dayes.

verse 15 Make us now glad according to

the dayes that we have been

By thee afflicted, and the years

wherein we ill have ſeen.

verse 16 Unto thy ſervant let thy work

moſt clearly now appear;

And ſhew thy glory great unto

their children that thee fear.

verse 17 And let the beautie of the LORD,

our GOD upon us be;

Eſtabliſh our hands work on us,

yea ſtabliſh it ſurelie.

PSAL. XCI.

HE that doth in the ſecret place

of the moſt High reſide.

Under th…Almighties ſhadow ſhall

moſt ſafely ſtill abide.

verse 2 I will alwayes ſay of the LORD,

he my refuge is ſtill

My mighty fortreſſe, and my God

in him now truſt I will.

verse 3 He ſurely from the foulers ſnare

ſhall ſafe deliver thee,

And from the peſtilence likewiſe

moſt noiſome as we ſee.

verse 4 He with his feathers cov'r thee ſha…

under his wings ſafelie

Thou glade ſhalt truſt; his truth th… ſh…e…

verse 5 Thou ſhalt in no way be afraid

for terrour great by night,

Nor for the arrow that is ſhot

by day while it is light,

verse 6 Nor yet the Peſtilence that walks

in darkneſſe every way.

Nor for the great deſtruction als

that waſts at the noon day.

verse 7 A thouſand at thy ſide ſhall fall,

and alſo thouſands ten

At thy right hand; but not at all

it ſhall come nigh thee then

verse 8 With thine own eyes thou only ſhal…

behold aſſuredlie,

And of the wicked alſo thou

the juſt reward ſhalt ſee.

verse 9 Becauſe thou thus haſt made the Lord

which is my ſure refuge,

Ev'n the moſt high for evermore

thy dwelling thee to lodge,

verse 10 There ſurelie ſhall no ev'll at all

befall unto thee heer,

Nor yet ſhall any noiſome plague

come to thy dwelling neer.

verse 11 For ov'r thee to his Angels ſtrong

he ſhall give charge alwayes,

That they moſt ſafely keep thee ſtill

in all thy lawfull wayes.

verse 12 Up in their hands in dangers great

they ſhall thee bear anone,

Leſt thou ſhould daſh at unawars

thy foot againſt a ſtone.

verse 13 Thou ſhalt upon the Lion tread

and Aſp, as thou thinks meet:

The Lion young and Dragon thou

ſhalt trample under feet.

verse 14 I him deliver will, becauſe

he ſet his love on me,

Becauſe that he hath known my Name

I will him ſet on hie.

verse 15 When he ſhall call I'l anſwer him

with him alſo I will

In trouble be; I will him ſave,

and will him honour ſtill.

verse 16 With long life, as he ſhall deſire,

I will him ſatiſfie,

And will him my ſalvation ſure

ſhew that he it may ſee.

PSAL. XCII.

TO give thanks to the Lord it is

a good and comely thing,

And to thy Name, O thou moſt High

due praiſes als to ſing.

verse 2 Thy loving kindnes to ſhew foorth

in the firſt morning light,

And to declare thy faithfulneſſe

with gladneſſe every night.

verse 3 Upon an inſtrument moſt ſweet

of ten ſtrings that rebound,

And on the Pſaltrie, and upon

the Harp with ſolemne ſound.

verse 4 For thou Lord now haſt through thy work

me glad made ev'ry way,

I in the great works of thy hands

will ſtill triumph alway.

verse 5 Thy thoghts are very deep; how great

are the works of thy hand?

verse 6 brutiſh man not knows, nor doth

a fool this underſtand.

verse 7 When wicked men even as the graſſe

ſpring in proſperitie,

When all thoſe flouriſh more or leſſe

that work iniquitie:

It is that they for ever ſhall,

deſtroyed be therefore:

verse 8 But thou Lord always mighty art

moſt high for ever more.

verse 9 For loe thine enmies Lord, for loe

thine enmies periſh ſhall;

The workers of iniquitie

they ſhall be ſcattred all.

verse 10 But thou my horn like th'Unicorns

ſhall ſtill exalt on hie,

With freſh oil that moſt precious is,

I ſhall anointed be.

verse 11 Mine eye ſhall alſo my deſire

ſee of my foes in fear,

Of wicked men that 'gainſt me riſe

mine ears my wiſh ſhall hear.

verse 12 The righteous like the pleaſant palm

anone well flouriſh ſhall,

He ſhall grow like in Lebanon

a Cedar great and tall.

verse 13 Thoſe that in the houſe of the Lord

have planted their abode,

Shall flouriſh fair moſt conſtantly

in the courts of our GOD.

verse 14 They ſhall all ſtill in their old age

moſt pleaſant fruit foorth bring,

In a moſt bleſſed ſtate they ſhall

be fat and flouriſhing.

verse 15 To ſhew that ſtill the Lord remains

upright to great and ſmall,

He is my rock, there's not in him

unrighteouſneſſe at all.

PSAL. XCIII.

THe Lord doth reigne, he clothed is

with Majeſtie throughout,

The LORD is cloth'd with ſtrength wherwith

he girds himſelf about.

The world alſo faſt ſtabliſh'd is

that it can not depart,

verse 2 Thy Throne of old is fix'd, for thou

from everlaſting art.

verse 3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD,

the flowing floods their voice

Have lifted up; the floods their waves

lift up even with a noiſe.

verse 4 The Lord on high more mighty is

then any noiſe can be

Of waters great, yea then the waves

moſt mighty of the ſea.

verse 5 Thy Teſtimonies of great worth

are very ſure together;

True holineſſe thy houſe, O LORD,

becometh ſtill for ever.

PSAL. XCIV.

O LORD, to whom vengeance for wrōgs

belongs ev'n as moſt due:

O GOD, to whom vengeance belongs

thy ſelf now clearly ſhew.

verse 2 Lift up thy ſelf thou of the earth

the great Judge to regard,

Deſervedly unto the proud

now render a reward.

verse 3 Moſt mighty LORD, how long ſhall they

that alwayes wicked be,

How long ſhall wicked men on earth

triumph ſo gloriouſlie?

verse 4 How long ſhal thoſe men utter thus

and ſpeak hard things ſo free?

And all thoſe proudly boaſt themſelves

that worke iniquitie?

verse 5 LORD, they in pieces break thy folk

and heritage diſtreſſe

verse 6 They widow and the ſtranger ſlay,

and murder fatherleſſe.

verse 7 Yet they ſay in their fooliſhneſſe,

the Lord this ſhall not ſee,

Nor by the God of Jacob ſhall

it once regarded be.

verse 8 Among the people underſtand

ye brutiſh: and likewiſe

Ye fools that nothing can conceive,

O when will ye be wiſe?

verse 9 Shall he that planted hath the ear

not heare how all things be?

He that alſo the eye hath form'd

ſhall he himſelf not ſee?

verse 10 He that the heathen doth chaſtiſe

ſhall he not chaſtiſe now?

He that man knowledge teacheth ſtill

ſhall he himſelf not know?

verse 11 The Lord the thoghts of mortal man

doth know moſt certainlie,

That in their greateſt worth they are

nothing but vanitie.

verse 12 Bleſt is the man O Lord whom thou

by chaſtning keeps in aw,

And alſo clearely teacheſt him

out of thy holie law.

verse 13 That thou may give him reſt from daye…

of great adverſitie

Vntill that for the wicked man

the pit deep digged be.

verse 14 For now the LORD his people a…

will not caſt off together,

Nor will hee his inheritance

in wrath forſake for ever.

verse 15 But judgement unto righteouſneſſe

returne moſt quicklie ſhall,

And thoſe that be in heart upright

ſhall it ſtill follow all.

verse 16 Who up for me will riſe againſt

thoſe that ill doers be,

Or who for me 'gainſt thoſe will ſtand

that work iniquitie?

verse 17 Unleſſe the Lord had been to mee

a help as I have felt,

My ſoul with trouble vexed had

almoſt in ſilence dwelt.

verse 18 When I ſaid that my foot did ſlip

thy mercy held me right:

verse 19 Thy comforts in my many thoughts

do ſtill my ſoul delight.

verse 20 Shall thus of great iniquitie

the throne without all aw

Have fellowſhip with thee? Which frames

miſchief ev'n by a law?

verse 21 Themſelves together gather they

againſt the ſouls of men

That righteous are; and als the blood

of innocent condemne.

verse 22 But yet the Lord ſtill by his might

is my defence alway:

And my GOD is the ſolid Rock

of my refuge for ay.

verse 23 He on them their own ſin ſhal bring

and them cut off he ſhall

In their own wickedneſſe; our GOD

ſhall cut them off in all.

PSAL. XCV.

O Come let us unto the Lord

ſing with a chearfull voice:

Let us to our ſalvations rock

make a moſt joyfull noiſe.

verse 2 Let us before his preſence come

with thankſgiving: and take

Moſt pleaſant Pſalmes, wherewith to him

a joyfull noiſe now make.

verse 3 For GOD the Lord, who mighty is,

a great GOD ſtill doth prove,

And a great King in Majeſtie

all other gods above.

verse 4 The places deep of all the earth

are in his mighty hand,

The ſtrength ev'n of the hills alſo

is his in all the land.

verse 5 The ſpacious ſea is his likewiſe,

and he it made in forme:

His hands als full of Majeſtie

the dry land all did forme.

verse 6 O come, now let us worſhip, and

bow down with one accord,

And let us humbly kneel before

our maker even the Lord.

verse 7 For he's our God, the people we

are of his paſture choiſe,

And of his hand the ſheep; to day

if yee will hear his voice.

verse 8 As in the provocation great

not harden more or leſſe

Your hearts; as in the day they him

did tempt in wilderneſſe

verse 9 When your ill fathers fooliſhly

me tempted without aw,

And by their ſins there did me prove,

my work they alſo ſaw.

verse 10 Long fourtie yeers I greeved was

with this ill race alwayes,

And ſaid, this people ers in heart,

and have not known my wayes.

verse 11 To whom ſolemnly in my wrath

I ſwearing did proteſt,

That they a wicked race ſhould not

once enter in my reſt.

verse 7 Ye kindreds of the people all

verse 8 Unto the Lord the glorie give,

which to his Name is due,

And come ye now into his courts

ane offring bring with you.

In the beautie of holineſſe,

O the Lord ſtill adore,

verse 3 A kindled fire goes him before,

verse 4 His lightnings which doe brightly ſhine

Inlightned all, the earth them ſaw
