And thou O Lord, who art … …hield them down bring from their height.

12 For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

Let them ev'n in their pride be ta'en who cursing lying speak.

13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Iacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

And grudge, if they not satisfi'd be with the thing they eat.

16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning, for thou hast been my defence; and refuge in the day of my trouble.

16 But of thy pow'r yea mercy loud at morning sing I will:

For my defence thou and refuge hast been in trouble still.

17 VntoUnto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

17 O thou who art my strength, I will unto thee sing for this;

For God is my defence, and he God of my mercy is.

Now with thy right hand do thou save, and hearken unto me.

6 God hath spoken in his holinesse, I will rejoice: I will divide Schechem, and m…te ou… the valley of Succoth.

6 God in his holinesse hath said, I joyfull will abide:

I Succoths valley will met out, and Shechem will divide.

Philistia; because of me do thou triumph at last.

9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

9 O who is he that will me bring into the city strong?

And who is he that now will me to Edom lead along?

10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadest cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?

10 O God, which haddest us cast off, wilt thou the same not do?

And thou, O God, which diddest not out with our armies go?

2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:

O God, do thou now hear my cry, unto my prayer at…end,

2 When my heart's overwhelm'd, I will cry to thee from earths end:

Lead me to the rock that is higher then I.

5 Because that thou the vows O God, which I have made didst hear,

Thou hast giv'n me the heritage of those thy Name that fear.

PSAL LXII.

TRuly my soul waiteth upon God: from him commeth my salvation.

MY soul it truely in all things now waiteth God upon,

Because that unto me from him comes my salvation.

2 He onelyonly is my rock and my salvation he is my defence, I shall not be greatly moved

2 He only my salvation is, my rock also is he:

Yea, he is my defence, I shall not greatly moved be.

3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be stain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

3 How long mischief against a man imagine thus will ye?

Ye slain all, as a bowing wall, and tottring fence shall be.

4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency, they delight in lies: they blesse with thier mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

4 They only plot to cast him down from his excellency,

They like in lies; with mouth they blesse, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God: for my expectation is from him.

5 O thou my soul, with patience wait only God upon,

For that from him in all things is my expectation.

6 He onelyonly is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

6 My rock and als salvation he only …s to me;

Unto me a defence he is; I shall not moved be.

7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge is in God.

7 My glory it is in the Lord, and my salvation,

In God the rock is of my strength and my refuge alone.

8 Trust in him at all times, ye people▪ pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

8 Ye people at all times do ye your trust put in him thus,

Your heart poure ye out him before, God's a refuge for us. Selah.

9 Surely men of low degree are vanitie, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the ballance they are altogether lighter then vanity.

9 Surely men low are vanity, men high they are a ly,

In ballance laid they wholly are more light then vanity.

10 Trust not in oppression, become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

10 In robbry be not vain, and not trust in oppression,

If that your richesse do increase, set not your heart there on.

11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this, that power belongeth unto God.

11 The Lord himself hath spoken once, yea twise heard have I this,

That unto him that is our God great power belonging is.

12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou rendrest to every man according to his work.

12 So also mercy doth belong to thee, O Lord, alone,

For thou according to his work dost render to each one.

PSALME LXIII.

O God, thou art my God, earlie will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee,

O God, thou art my God, thou shalt be early sought by me,

My soul for thee doth greatly thirst, my flesh doth long for thee,

In a dry and thirstie land where no water is:

2 To see thy power and thy glorie, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuarie.

In a most dry and thirsty land, wherein no waters be.

2 To see thy glory, power, as I in Sanctuary thee did see.

3 Because thy loving kindnesse is better then life: my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I blesse thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy Name.

3 Sith better is thy love then life, my lips they shall thee praise.

4 I'le while I live thee blesse; I will my hands in thy name raise.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatnesse: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyfull lips:

5 My soul shall as with marrow all and fatnesse filled be:

And so my mouth with joyfull lips shall praises give to thee▪

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night- watches.

6 When I laid down upon▪ my bed remember thee aright,

And also on thee meditate in watches of the night.

7 Because thow hast been my help … therefore in he shaddow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul. followeth hard after thee; thy right hand upholdeth me.

7 In shaddow of thy wings I'le joy, for help'd I was by thee,

8 My soul on thee doth follow hard thy right hand holdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

9 Who seek my soul to spill, go to earths lower parts shall they:

10 They by the sword shall fall, they shall for foxes be a prey.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

11 So shall the King in God rejoice, yea each one glory shall

That by him swears: but stopt shall be the mouth of liars all.

PSAL. LXIV.

HEar my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemie.

O God when I my prayer make my voice then do thou hear;

Of him that is the enemie preserve my life from fear.

2 Hide me from the secret counsell of the wicked: from the insurrection of the workers of iniquitie.

2 Me from their secret counsell hide, that do live wickedly

From insurrection of the men that work iniquity.

3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

3 Who thus in rage do whet their tongues and that like unto swords

And to shoot arrows▪ bend their bows ev'n their most bitter words.

4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly doe they shoot at him, and fear not.

4 That they in secret then may shoot at him that's perfect heer,

They suddenly do shoot at him, and not at all do fear.

5 They encourage themselves in an evill matter: they commune of laying snarnes privily; they say, Who shall see them?

5 Themselves they in a matter ill encourage; and to lay

Snares privily, they commune thus, who shall them see? they say.

6 They search out iniquities, they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thoughts of every one of them, and the heart is deep.

6 They do search out iniquities accomplished they keep

A diligent search; the inward thought and heart of each is deep.

7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow, suddenly shall they be wounded.

8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

7 God shall an arrow at them shoot, and wound them suddenly:

Their own tongue they'le make on them fall all that them see shall fly.

9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God: for they shall wiselie consider of his doing.

9 And in great fear all men shall be, and shall Gods work declare,

For wisely they consider shall what those his doings are.

10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him: and all the upright in heart shall glorie.

10 The righteous shall in God be glade, and in him trust they shall:

And they that are upright in heart shall also glory all.

PSAL. LXV.

PRaise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

PRaise for thee waits in Sion Lord: vows to thee paid shall be:

2 O thon that doest prayer hear, all flesh shall come to thee.

3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for o… transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

3 Iniquities they do prevaile against me every way;

As for those our transgressions, thou shalt them purge away.

4 Blessed is the man whom thou chusest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts:

4 The man is blest whom thou dost chuse, and whom thou causest well

For to aproach to thee, that he within thy courts may dwell.

We shall be satisfied with the goodnesse of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

We with the goodnesse of thy house shall satisfied be.

Ev'n of the Temple that is made a holy place for thee.

5 By terrible things in righteousnesse, wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation:

5 Thou by the things in righteousnesse that terrible are done

Wilt us an answer give, O God, of our salvation.

Who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afarre off upon the sea▪

Who art the confidence of all the ends of earth that be,

And of them that afar off are upon the raging sea.

6 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains, being girded with power.

7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

6 Which being girt with power sets fast by his own strength the hils;

7 Which noise of seas, noise of their waves, and peoples tumult stills.

8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts, are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

8 Those in the utmost parts that dwell, als at thy tokens quake,

Th'outgoing of the Morn and Ev'n thou to rejoice dost make.

9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatlie enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

9 Thou visit'st earth and warrest it, mak'st greatly rich also

With Gods full flood; thou corn prepar'st when thou provid'st it so.

10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantlie: thou setlest the furrows thereof, thou makest it soft with showres,

10 The ridges thou aboundantly thereof dost water oft,

The furrows thereof setlest thou, with showrs thou mak'st it soft.

Thou blessest the springing thereof.

11 Thou crownest the yeer with thy goodnesse, and thy paths drop fatnesse.

The springing thereof thou dost blesse: 11 And with thy goodnesse crown

Thou dost the year, and als thy steps, they fatnesse do drop down.

12 They drop upon the pastures of the wildernesse; and the little hils rejoice on every side.

12 They do upon the pastures drop of wildernesse so wide,

And then the hills that little are rejoice on ev'ry side.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn: they shout for joy, they also sing.

13 The pastures cloathed are with flocks, the valleys over so

With corn are covered; they for joy do shout; they sing also.
