The Psalms of David in Meter with the Prose Interlined, Psalm 34
PSALME XXXIV.
I Will blesse the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
I 'Le blesse GOD all times, his praise still shall in my mouth be heer.
2 My soul in God shall boast, and glad the humble it shall hear,
3 O magnifie the Lord with me, and let us exalt his Name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me; and delivered me from all my fears.
3 O with me magnifie the Lord, his name exalt together:
4 I sought God, he did hear, and me from all my fears deliver.
5 They looked unto him and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him; and saved him out all his troubles,
5 They look'd to him, and lightned were, their faces were not shamed:
6 This poor man cri'd, God heard, and him from all his trouble saved.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
7 He that's the Angel of the Lord, encampeth round for ever
About all them that do him fear and he doth them deliver,
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
8 O taste and see, that God is good hee's blest that trusts him heer,
9 O ye his saints fear God: for they not want that do him fear.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
10 Young lions suffer hunger great, and they have lack of food:
But they that seek the Lord shall not want any thing that's good.
11 Come ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
11 Ye who are children hither come, unto me give ye ear;
I will give teaching unto you how ye the Lord shall fear.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many dayes, that he may see good?
12 What man is he that doth desire his life preserv'd to be
And also loveth many dayes that so he good may see?
13 Keep thy tongue from evill, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evill, and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
13 From ill thy tongue keep; with thy lips from speaking guile eschew,
14 Depart from evil, and do good, seek peace and it pursue.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous: and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evill:
15 Gods eyes are on the just, his ears are open to their cry:
16 The face of God it is against them that do wickedly.
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
That he may from the earth cut off the remembrance they have,
17 The righteous cry, God heares, them doth from all their troubles save.
18 The Lord is nigh… unto them that are of a broken heart: and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth them out of them all.
18 God's neer to broken hearts, and saves such as have sprits contrite:
19 The just mans troubles many are, from all God doth him quite.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 Evill shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
20 He keepeth all his bones, of them not broken there is one:
21 Ill shall the wicked slay; who hate the just, shall be undone.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
22 Of his own servants all the Lord the soul redeemeth he,
And none of them that trust in him as desolate shall be.
