2 Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery, and an instrument of ten strings.
2 Do ye the Lord praise with the harp▪ with psaltry to him sing,
And also with an instrument that hath a tenfold string.
3 Sing unto him a new song: play skilfully with a loud noise.

4 For the Lords word is right; in truth his works all done are they.
5 He loveth righteousnesse and judgement: the earth is full of the goodnesse of the Lord.
5 Both righteousnesse and judgement als he loveth ever still,
The goodnesse likewise of the Lord the earth each where doth fill.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in aw of him.
9 For he spake, and it was done: he commanded, and it stood fast.
8 Fear God all earth, in aw of him, let worlds all dwellers stand:
9 For he spake, it was done, and it stood fast at his command.
10 The Lord bringeth the counsell of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
10 The Lord to nought the counsell brings which heathen men project,
Devices of the people he doth make of none effect.
11 The counsell of the Lord standeth for ever: the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
11 But yet the counsell of the Lord for ever standeth fast,
And of his heart the thoughts unto all generations last.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord: and the people, whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
12 O blessed is the Nation whose God ev'n the Lord is;
And people whom he chosen hath for heritage that's his.
13 The Lord looketh from heaven: he beholdeth all the sons of men.
14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
13 The Lord from heav'n looks, he beholds all sons of men right well:
14 He from his dwelling place looks on all that on earth do dwell.
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike: he considereth all their works.
15 The hearts of every one of them alike he he fashioneth;
And all the works als that are theirs he well considereth.
16 There is no King saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
16 There is no king whom of an hoast the multitude can save,
And by much strength a mighty man can no deliv'rance have.
17 An horse is a vaine thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
17 For mans safety, a thing most vain an horse is seen at length,
Not any he deliver shall at all by h… great strength.

18 Behold the eye ev'n of the Lord on them that fear him is;
And upon them that also hope in mercy that is his.
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
19 From death to save their soul, and life to them in famine yeeld:
20 Our soul it waiteth for the Lord, he is our help and shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him: because we have t…usted in his holy Name.
