GIve ear unto my words O Lord,

verse 3 Thou in the morning ſhalt my voice

Lord heare by thy goodwill;

At morning to thee will I pray

and look up to thee ſtill.

verse 4 For thou art not a God that pleaſd

with wickedneſſe can'ſt be,

Nor yet evill at any time,

ſhall dwell at all with thee.

verse 5 The fooliſh people in thy ſight

ſtand ſtedfaſt never ſhall,

The workers of iniquitie,

thou ſurelie hateſt all.

verse 6 Them that are leeſing giv'n to ſpeak

thou wilt deſtroy therefore,

The bloody and deceitfull man

God alwayes will abhorre.

verse 7 But in thy mercies multitude

come to thy houſe I will,

Thy Temple towards in thy feare

I will thee worſhip ſtill.

verse 8 O Lord God, in thy righteouſneſſe

me lead now I thee pray:

Becauſe of foes; before my face

make thou now ſtraight thy way.

verse 9 For in their mouth no treuth there is

their inward's alwayes ill,

Their throat's an open ſepulchre

their tongues do flatter ſtill.

verse 10 O God, who ever righteous art

deſtroy them great and ſmall:

Let them with ſhame & grief of heart

by their own counſels fall.

Caſt them out in the multitude

of their tranſgreſſions hie,

For in great wickedneſſe they have

rebelled againſt thee.

verse 11 But let all thoſe that put their truſt

in thee rejoice alway,

Let them for joy in every part,

moſt gladly ſhout for ay.

Becauſe that thou them by thy hand

defendeſt as they ſee.

Let them alſo that love thy name

be joyfull ſtill in thee.

verse 12 For thou, O Lord, the righteous man

wilt bleſſe both in and out,

With favour thou as with a ſhield,

wilt compaſſe him about.

PSALME VI.

hath heard as I did crave,

The LORD the prayer that I make

I put my truſt in thee,

From all them that me perſecute

the righteous men alway,

And God with thoſe that wicked are

the inſtruments of death,

Againſt the perſecutors he

his arrows ordain'd hath.

verse 14 Behold, he with iniquitie

doth travell as in birth,

And hath conceived a miſchief,

and falſehood hath brought foorth

verse 15 He made a pit and digged it

the righteous there to take,

And he into the ditch is fall'n,

which he himſelf did make.

return on his own head,

His violent dealing ſhall come downe
