PSAL. LXIX.
SAve me in thoſe my dangers gre…
O God, who art moſt hie,
For waters great unto my ſoul
come in now ſurely be.
verse 2 I ſink in deep mire where there is
no ſtanding for me now,
I am into deep waters come
where floods me overflow.
verse 3 I of my crying weary am,
my throat is all made dry;
Mine eyes while for my God I wa…
do fail me by and by.
verse 4 They that me hate deſpitefully,
without a cauſe indeed
Are ſurely moe in number then
the haires of all mine head:
They that my foes moſt wrongfully
would me deſtroy for ay
Are mighty; then I that reſtor'd
which I took not away.
verse 5 O God, thou my great fooliſhneſſe
doſt know moſt perfectlie;
And all my ſins both more and leſſe
are not now hid from thee.
verse 6 Let none that wait on thee, O Lord,
for my ſake ſhamed be,
Nor yet confounded for my ſake,
that ſeek, O God, to thee.
verse 7 Becauſe I for thy ſake have borne
reproach and great diſgrace,
Great ſhame before mine enmies ſtill
hath cov'red all my face.
verse 8 I am become a ſtranger great
unto my brethren near,
And alſo am an aliant to
my mothers children dear:
verse 9 For of thy holy houſe the zeal
hath all up eaten me,
And on me their reproach is fall'n
that have reproached thee.
verse 10 When I did weep, and chaſtned …
my ſoul with faſting much,
Mine en'mies all did ſcoffe, and that
was unto my reproch.
verse 11 I alſo ſackcloth that is baſe
made all my garment then,
And after that a proverb I
became unto thoſe men.
verse 12 They that as Judges in the gate
the people ſit among
Did ſpeak againſt me; yea I was
of drunkards made the ſong.
verse 13 But as for me my prayer is,
O LORD, alwayes to thee,
In ſuch a time as thou doſt know
acceptable to be:
O God, in the great multitude
of thy mercy me heare,
Even in the truth and faithfulneſſe
of thy ſalvation deare.
verse 14 Deliver me out of the mire,
from ſinking ſafe me keep,
Save me from thoſe that hate me ſtill,
and out of waters deep.
verse 15 Let not the water flood ov'rflow,
nor deep of miſerie
Me ſwallow up, let not the pit
her mouth ſhut over me.
verse 16 Hear me, O Lord, for thy kindnes
moſt loving ſtill is good,
Turn unto me according to
thy mercies multitude.
verse 17 And hide not thy moſt loving face
from me thy ſervant dear,
For I perplex'd in trouble am,
now ſpeedily me hear.
verse 18 Draw near to my diſtreſſed ſoul,
it ſave now and redeeme:
Deliver me, becauſe of thoſe
that are my foes extreame.
verse 19 Thou my reproach and ſhame haſt known
and my diſhonour more:
Mine adverſaries that me hurt
are all ſtill thee before.
verse 20 Reproach hath broke my heart, …
of grief; I for ſome one
Look'd to take pitie, none was; for
comforters, but found none.
verse 21 They gave me alſo for my meat
(which horrour is to think)
Moſt bitter gall, they me in thirſt
gave vinegar to drink.
verse 22 Let their rich table them before
all times a ſnare be ſeen;
And let it be a trap which for
their welfare ſhould have bee…
verse 23 Let ſtill their eyes be darkned all,
that they may no thing ſee,
And make their: loines depriv'd of ſtreng…
to ſhake continually.
verse 24 Thine indignation great powr o…
upon them fierce and bold,
And alſo let thine anger hote
of each of them take hold.
verse 25 And let their habitation all,
which ſeemes moſt to excell,
Be deſolate, and ſuffer none
into their tents to dwell.
verse 26 For him they perſecute whom thou
haſt ſmitten leſſe or more,
And they talk to the grief of thoſe
whom thou haſt wounded ſore.
verse 27 Adde thou iniquitie unto
their former wickedneſſe,
And let not ſuch men come at all
into thy righteouſneſſe.
verse 28 Out of the book of living men
let them all blotted be,
And not at all be written with
the righteous companie.
verse 29 But I am very ſorrowfull,
and poor, as thou doſt ſee,
O God, let thy ſalvation now
me ſure ſet up on hie,
verse 30 The name of the almighty God
I with a ſong will praiſe,
And will with hearty thanks him ſtill
even magnifie alwayes.
verse 31 This alſo ſhall the mighty LORD
pleaſe better moſt ſurelie
Then ox or bullock that hath hoofs
or horns that lofty be.
verse 32 They who are humble ſhall this ſe…
and ſhall be glad indeed,
And als your heart ſhall happy live
that ſeek for GOD in need.
verse 33 For ſtill the Lord the poor on earth
doth in his mercy hear;
And mercifull deſpiſeth not
his priſoners to him dear.
verse 34 Let both the heav'ns & als the earth
praiſe him who ſits above,
The raging ſeas and every thing
that therein ſtill doth move.
verse 35 For GOD the cities of Judah
will build, and Sion ſave;
That there they may dwell, and it in
poſſeſſion ſurely have.
verse 36 The ſeed als of his ſervants dear
inherite ſhall the ſame;
And therein ſhall they gladly dwell
that love his holy Name.
PSAL. LXX.
O GOD, now in this time make haſt
for to deliver me;
Make haſt, O LORD, that in diſtreſſe
I may get help from thee.
verse 2 Let them confounded be with ſhame
that ſeek my ſoul in ire,
Them to confuſion all turne back
that ſtill my hurt deſire.
verse 3 Let them by thy moſt fearfull wrath
be turned back forlorne
For to reward their ſhame, that ſay,
Aha, Aha, in ſcorne.
verse 4 Let all thoſe that thee ſeek rejoice
and be with gladneſſe raiſde,
Let ſuch as thy ſalvation love,
ſay ſtill, let God be praiſde.
verse 5 But I am poor and needy now
make haſt, O GOD, to me:
My help thou and delivrer art,
LORD, Let no tarrying be.
PSALME LXXI.
O LORD, in all my troubles grea…
I put my truſt in thee,

verse 3 My habitation ſtrong be thou
to which I may reſort,
To ſave me thou commanded haſt,
who art my rock and fort.
verse 4 Out of the hand of wicked men,
O GOD, deliver me,
Out of the hand of the unjuſt,
and thoſe that cruell be.
verse 5 For thou alwayes art ſtill my hope
O LORD, my GOD moſt juſt,
Thou alſo in thy mercy art
ev'n from my youth my truſt.

and honour all the day.
verse 9 Caſt me not off in the time of
old age when I am weak,
And when my ſtrength begins to fail
then do me not forſake.
verse 10 For againſt me mine enmies all
ſtill ſpeak one with another;
And they that for my ſoul lay wait
take counſell all together.
verse 11 God, ſay they, hath forſaken him,
him perſecute and take,
For there is none that now to him
deliverance can make.
verse 12 O God, in troubles be not thou
farre from me at the laſt,
O thou that onlie art my GOD
now for my help make haſt.
verse 13 Let my ſoules foes confounded a…
and als conſumed be:
Let with reproach ſhame cover them

verse 14 But well aſſur'd continually
I will hope thee before,
And for thy favour ſtill I will

verse 17 O God ev'n from my youth thou haſt
me taught with great regard,
And hitherto thy wondrous workes
I clearely have declar'd.
verse 18 Forſake not me gray-headed all
with old age overcome,
Till to this age thy ſtrength I ſhew
and power to all to come.
verse 19 Thy righteouſneſſe, O God, alſo
is very high to ſee,
Who haſt done great things ſtill, O God
who is like unto thee?
verse 20 Thou which haſt troubles great and ſore
unto me ſhewed forth,
Shalt quicken me, and bring me up
from the deepths of the earth.
verse 21 Thou ſhalt my greatnes by thy grace
increaſe for to abide,
And ſhalt me by thy goodneſſe ſtill
comfort on ev'ry ſide.
verse 22 My God, thee & thy truth I'le praiſe

verse 5 Throughout ev'n generations all
they ſhall thee fear moſt ſure,
As long as ſhall the Sun and Moon
ſtill in their courſe endure,
verse 6 He ſhall moſt graciouſly come down
like rain that's powred foorth
On the mown graſſe, as pleaſant ſhours
that water all the earth.
verse 7 The righteous man ſhall in his dayes
in all things flouriſh ſure,
With abundance of peace ſo long
as ſhall the Moon endure.
verse 8 From ſea to ſea dominion he
ſhall have by his great worth,
And from the river als unto
the ends of all the earth.
verse 9 They that dwell in the wilderneſſe
ſhall bow before him thick,
And alſo all his enemies

PSAL. LXXIII.
GOD truely unto Iſrael
is good, as may be ſeen,
Even to all ſuch as upright are,
and of a heart that's clean.
verse 2 But as for me in my great grief,
my feet in ev'rie way
Were almoſt gone; my ſteps alſo
had well nigh ſlipt away.
verse 3 For envious at fooliſh men
I was moſt fooliſhlie,
When of the wicked ſtill I ſaw
the great proſperitie.
verse 4 For in their death there are no ba…

But in their health and wealth alſo
their ſtrength is ever firm.
verse 5 They are not as all other men

verse 7 Their eyes always with fatnes ſwol…
ſtand out, yea more then this
They have more wealth among their hands

verse 8 They altogether are corrupt,
and ſpeak moſt wickedly,
Concerning their oppreſſion great
they proud ſpeak loftily
verse 9 Againſt the heav'ns moſt proudly they
do ſet their mouth and talk,
Their tongue reviling throgh the earth
continually doth walk.
verse 10 Therefore ſoon hither do return
the people round about,
And of a full cup waters great
unto them are wrung out.
verse 11 And thus they ſay, how doth at all
GOD know the things that be?
And is there any knowledge now
in him who is moſt hie?
verse 12 Behold thoſe the ungodly are
and proſper at their will,

down ſhamefully didſt caſt.
verse 19 How into deſolation they

Thus brought? They all with terrours are
conſumed utterlie.
verse 20 As a vain dream when one awakes
even ſo, O LORD, likewiſe,
When thou awak'ſt, moſt ſurely thou
their image ſhalt deſpiſe.
verse 21 Thus was my heart griev'd, & I was
in my reines pricked ſore,
