THE Queen muſt be ſupported by two Biſhops, from the Weſt door of the Church of Weſtminſter, &c.

The Queen muſt be anoynted, &c. after the Homage done by the Lords, and the Kings Coronation finiſhed.

Dicetur ab Epiſcopo ad ingreſſum Eccleſiae, at the Weſt door of Weſtminſter Church. This prayer.

Omnipotens ſempiterne, &c.

O Almighty and everlaſting God, the Fountain and Well-ſpring of all goodneſſe, which doſt not reject the frailty of the Woman, but rather doſt vouchſafe to allow and chooſe it, and by chooſing the weak things of the world, doſt confound thoſe things that are ſtrong, which didſt ſometime cauſe thy People to triumph over a moſt cruel Enemy, by the hand of Judith a woman, give ear we beſeech thee to our moſt humble prayers, and multiply thy bleſſings upon this thy ſervant, whom in all humble Devotion, we do conſecrate our Queen. Defend her alwaies with thy mighty right hand, and with the Buckler of thy favour, protect her on every ſide, that ſhe may be able to overcome, and triumph over all her Enemies, both bodily and ghoſtly, and that with Sarah and Rebecca, Leah and Rachel, and other bleſſed and honourable Women, ſhe may multiply and rejoyce in the fruit of her Womb, to the honour of the whole Kingdome, and the good government of the holy Church of God, through Chriſt our Lord, who vouchſafed to be born of a moſt pure Virgin, that he might viſit and redeem the world, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in unity of the holy Ghoſt, through all ages world without end.

Another bleſſing of the Queen before the Nobles, to be ſaid at the Altar before ſhe be anoynted.

Deus qui ſolus, &c.

God which onelyonly haſt immortality, and dwelleſt in Light which cannot be approached, whoſe Providence is never deceived, which haſt made all things …hat are to come, and calleſt thoſe things that are not, as the things that are, which caſteſt down the Proud from their Seat, and doſt exalt the Humble and Meek, we humbly beſeech thy unſpeakable mercy, that as for the good of the people of the Jewes, thou didſt deliver Queen Heſter from Captivity, and didſt bring her to the bed of King Aſſuerus, and the ſociety of his Kindome; ſo for the good of thy Chriſtian Flock, thou wilt of thy mercy by our Miniſtery, advance this thy Servant, to the moſt high and Royall company of our King, that ſhe continuing alwaies in the chaſtity of Princely Wedlock, ſhe may obtain the Crown that is next unto Virginity, and may in all things, and above all things, ſtudy alwaies to pleaſe thee the living God, and by thy holy inſpiration to perform thoſe things that are acceptable unto thee, through Chriſt our Lord, Amen.

Here the Holy Oyle ſhall be poured upon the Crown of her head in the manner of a Croſſe.

The Queen is to be anoynted two times, firſt in the forepart of her Head, the Biſhop ſaying theſe words;

In the name of the Father, the Son and the holy Ghoſt, let the anoynting of this Oyl increaſe thy honour, and eſtabliſh thee for ever and ever.

Secondly on her Breaſt, ſaying the ſame words;

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the holy Ghoſt, let the anoynting of this Oyl increaſe thy honour, and eſtabliſh thee for ever and ever.

After the Anoynting, this Prayer is to be ſaid:

Omnipotens ſempiterne Deus.

O Almighty and everlaſting God, we beſeech thee of thy Goodneſſe, poure out the ſpirit of thine abundant bleſſing, upon this thy ſervant, that as by the Impoſition of our Hands, ſhe is this day Crowned Queen, ſo ſhe may by thy ſanctification, continue alwaies thy choſen and worthy Servant, that ſhe may never hereafter fall from thy Grace, through Chriſt our Lord.

Here the Ring muſt be given her, and put on the Fore-finger of her Right hand, the Biſhop ſaying,

Accipe annulum.

Receive this Ring the Seal of a ſincere Faith, that you may avoid all infection of Hereſie, and by the power of God compell barbarous Nations, and bring them to the knowledge of the truth.

This Prayer muſt follow.

Deus cujus eſt.

God, to whom belongeth all Power and Dignity, grant we beſeech thee to this thy Servant, by the ſigne of Chriſtian Faith, proſperous ſucceſſe in this her honour, and that ſhe may continue firm in the ſame, and endevour alwaies to pleaſe thee, through Chriſt our Lord.

Then the bleſſing of the Crown.

Deus tuorum.

O God, the Crown of the Faithfull, which doſt Crown their heads with pretious Stones. Bleſſe and ſanctifie this Crown, that as the ſame is adorned with many precious Stones, ſo thy Servant that weareth the ſame, may of thy grace be repleniſhed with the manifold gifts of all pretious virtues, through Chriſt our Lord. Amen.

Then the Crown is ſet upon her Head, the Biſhop ſaying;

Accipe Coronam.

Receive the Crown of Glory, and the honour of Joy, that you may ſhine in Righteouſneſſe, and be crowned with everlaſting gladneſſe.

This alſo.

Officio noſtre.

Seeing you are by our Miniſtery ſolemnly Conſecrated for our Queen, receive the Crown of Royal excellency, which is placed upon your head by the Epiſcopal hands of us, though unworthy, and as you are Crowned without, with Gold and Pearl, ſo labour to be beautified within with the Gold of Wiſdome, and the Pearl of Vertue, that after this life ended, you may with the juſt Virgins, decently meet the everlaſting Bridegroom, our Lord Jeſus Chriſt, and enter the Kingly gate of the Heavenly Court, by his help, who with the Father, and the Holy ghoſt, liveth and reigneth for ever and ever. Amen.

Then the Archbiſhop purteth the Scepter in her right hand, and a Rod of Gold in her left hand, ſaying,

Omnium Domine.

O Lord the fountain of all good things, and the giver of all perfection, grant unto thy ſervant, that ſhe may order aright the high Dignity ſhe hath obtained, and with good works eſtabliſh the glory that thou haſt given her, through Chriſt our Lord. Amen.

Then is the Queen carryed back into the Throne, by the two biſhops.

As ſhe paſſeth by the King ſhe boweth to him.

She is placed in her Throne, and thus continueth, untill ſhe come down with the King, to offer and receive the Communion.

The Queen going with the King into Saint Edwards Chappell, putteth off her Crown there at the Altar, before which Altar ſhe ſtayeth untill the King hath made himſelfe ready in the Traverſe.

After they both put on their Crowns Imperial, and ſo go to the Pallace.
