The True News of the Good New World Shortly to Come, Section

The INTIMATION.

Theſe Gracious Diſcoveries of untainted Divine Truths of the Goſpel being the Teſtimony of Jeſus, and the Spirit of Propheſie, Rev. 19.10. are therefore the beſt Foundations of the beſt Divinity, affording the beſt Guidance for the underſtanding of all Prophetick Scripture, both for removing of evil, as to the breaking of the Serpents head, and obtaining of good, according to the promiſed Mercies and Covenants to and with the Fathers, &c. as Introduct. p. 13, 14, 15. and in other parts; but conſequently do not afford any juſt grounds of Satans ancienter or modern affixed Errours and Scandals, which by ſound judgment fall to the Dung-hill, like the dryed Scabs which he had maliciouſly wrought upon Jobs Body when God healed him; as Aſſer. 2, 3, 4 of our Key. And we need not marvel at Satans malice againſt theſe ſacred Doctrines, becauſe they manifeſt his long Impriſonment in the bottomleſs Pit is nigh, and that ſhortly after will follow (by his ſtrong Chain of Darkneſs) his caſting into the Fiery Lake for ever: wherefore they are indeed very uſeful, eſpecially in theſe laſt dayes, as the Spirit of Chriſt by his Word hath been (in Mercy) pleaſed ſo to open them, to be now duly improved by all men; and let all ſorts duly conſider Chriſts terrible Threat, Rev. 22.18, 19, &c. Wherefore as I judged it my duty (and was preparing) to tender them firſt to our King's Majeſty, joyntly with his Parliament, had they ſitten a week longer; ſo now I ſhall offer them (as God may afford me opportunity) to any conſiderable Companies, Aſſemblies, or Perſons, &c.

This Intimation was preſented, ſince the Parliament, &c. to the KING'S Majeſty alone, with the whole Work, by an Addreſs, December 4. 1675.

Let men now labour moſt earneſtly for true ſaying Fruit-bearing Faith, and ſecure it to themſelves and others, by their improving all their Lords Talents until he comes, like Wi…e Virgins, with Oyl in their Veſſels, and their Lamps burning, Mat. 25. for all living perſons Talents muſt ſhortly be accounted for without exception or exemption of any, by reaſon of their preſent diſtinguiſhing worldly Circumſtances.
