PSALME LXXVII.
I Cried unto God with my voice: even unto God with my voice, and he gave ear unto me.
UNto the Lord I with my voice, to God I cried have,
Ev'n with my voice, and so an ear unto me then he gave.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: m… soul refused to be comforted.
2 In day of trouble God I sought; by night my sore in me
Ran and not ceasd; my soul refus'd comforted for to be.
3 I remembred God, and was troubled: complained, and my spirit was overwhelme… Selah.
3 In my remembrance God I had and troubled did remain:
And overwhelmed was my sprit while I then did complain. Selah.
4 Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am troubled that cannot speak.
5 I have considered the dayes of old, years of ancient times.
4 Thou waking holdst mine eyes, I not can speak I'm troubled so:
5 I have considered dayes of old, yeers of times long ago.
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart, and my spirit made diligent search.
6 In time of night I do my song unto remembrance call,
I comune with my heart, my sprit made diligent search of all.
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? and wi… he be favourable no more?
8 Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?
7 For ever will the Lord cast off and favour shew no more?
8 For ay clean is his mercy gone fails his word evermore?
9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah
9 Hath God for to be gracious forgotten altogether?
Or hath he in his anger great shut up his mercies tender? Selah.
10 And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand o I the most High.
10 Then said I my infirmity this is, but yet I still
Of his right hand that is most high the yeers remember will.
11 I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
11 The works that by the Lord are done I'le in remembrance hold;
I surely will remember now thy wonders done of old.
12 I will meditate also of all thy works, and talk of thy doings.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a god as our God▪
12 Of all thy works I'le meditate, and of thy doings talk▪
13 What God so great as ours? O God, in Sanctuary thou dost walk.
14 Thou art the God that doest wonders thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
14 Yea thou art the Almighty God that doest wonders strong,
Thy strength thou al… declared hast the people all among.
15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Iacob and Ioseph. Selah.
15 Thou hast thy people with thine arm redemption made to see,
The sons of Jacob and als those that come of Joseph be. Selah.
16 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: they were afraid; the depths also were troubled.
16 The waters did thee see, O God, the waters saw thee there,
They greatly were afraid also, the depths they troubled were.
17 The clouds poured out water▪ the skies sent out a sound, thine arrows also went abroad.
17 The clouds then water poured out, the skies a sound out sent;
In a most fearfull way abroad thine arrows also went.
18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightned the world, the earth trembled and shook.
18 Thy thunders voice was in the heav'n, the lightnings they did make
The world all lightned for to be; the trembling earth did shake.
19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters: and thy footsteps are not known.
19 Thy way it is within the sea, the path that is thine own
Is in the waters great, and there thy footsteps are not known.
20 Thou leddest thy people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
20 By Moses thine own servants hand and Aarons hand also,
Thou even like unto a flock thy people leddest so.
