Two Treatises, Dedication 2

TO THE RIGHT HONOVRABLE The Lady LETTICE, Counteſſe of Leiceſter, All encreaſe of Honour and Happineſſe.

MADAM;

HAving importuned and prevailed with that Reverend duplicate page duplicate page duplicate page duplicate page duplicate page duplicate page Preacher, who performed that laſt office for your LADISHIPS late Servant, to afford mee a perfect Coppie of his Sermon, (which for the fitnes and worthineſſe of the matter, I thought much pittie to bee buryed with her:) and purpoſing to adde a ſhort Relation of the happie Life and Death or my deare Wife, both which I thought were very exemplary; I emboldned my ſelf, to preſent the ſame to your HONOVR, not only as a thankfull teſtification, of my humble dutie and ſervice, for all thoſe gracious endowments, which I ſo happily enioyed in her, (of all which, vnderunder God, your (HONOVR was a chiefe inſtrument) but alſo becauſe I know that your HONOVR, who gladly apprehended all the meanes of her comfort through her life, would as gladly receiue the true Narration of her aſſured Comforts and Conqueſt in her ſo Chriſtian death and diſſolution.

Neither is the Sermon vnfit for your HONOVRS pervſall, whom God hath honored with ſo many dayes, and yeares, and taught not to feare eyther the end of your Pilgrimage out of this ſtrange Countrey, or the neare approch to your own home.

Thus humbly praying your HONORS acceptance of that which is moſt properly yours. I pray the Father of mercies, to adde to all your noble Vertues, the continuance of your true proſperitie.

Your HONOVRS in all humble ſervice, H. G.
