The Induction.
SOme hauehave beene ſaid in the olde time vponupon receiving of a wound to hauehave beene healed by the ruſt of the weapon that gaue the wound; and verily for my part, after the ſpraine and diſlocation which I hauehave ſuffered by intanglement in Popiſh Snares, nothing hath bin more availeable to me for my perfect cure than the view and ſearch of thoſe rotten ragged ſhredds of thoſe cords of vanitie and illuſion, which a while dia hold mee captiue in the time of my weakeneſſeThe beſt meanes therefore for the confirming of my ſelfe and arming others, is and will be the further inquiring into the particular courſes of the great ſeducing Maſters, eſpecially the Ieſuites; the viewing and handling whereof vponupon bare Narration without inference or application, is ſufficient to ſhew the weakeneſs of thoſe twine-thred bonds and Cob-web netts which they caſt over the ſilly fry of their floating Diſciples.
Since the inditing and publiſhing of my former Booke, called, The Foote out of the Snare, I hauehave attained better information and knowledge of diverſe particulars, which I thought fit to commend to publique view, for the better vnmasking of our Loiolan Mirabilaries, who as yet impudently perſiſt to play their pranckes amongst vsus. Theſe are eiuſdem fils of the ſame thred with the former woofe of the old Snare. Some ſnips of which their legerdemaine trickes, ſhufflingly twiſted and deeply died in graine, here I diſplay in a new Webbe for the e…king out the Curtaines of the tyring houſe of their former ſtage in array and manner as followeth.
